[YouTube-API] Re: Youtube for IPTB STB with out flash player support

Hello,
Pointing your own custom <video> element player at the YouTube video
streams is definitely not the same thing as using the <iframe>
embedded player.
Oh, we surely don't plan to post somewhere html5 video tags linked to YouTube content! What I am talking about is a video playback on YouTube pages or pages, that embeds YouTube HTML5 player. I believe it doesn't matter whether it is contained in iframe or not.
First off, I am an engineer, not an lawyer, and I cannot tell you
what is "legal" and what is not. The YouTube API Terms of Service
dictate the acceptable use of the YouTube API, and the final word
about what is acceptable is contained in that document.
Unfortunately, I'm not a lawyer too. Looks like Terms of Service doesn't forbid things I wrote about. But to be sure we could not violate Google rights, it would be perfect to get an acknowledge from Google. Can we get it in any form? Please, suggest a contact in Google we can ask about this issue.

Regards,
Kurt Hudson.

  1. I am exicited about HTML5 but Flash can do all these things html5 can do in a better way.Creating slideshow in HTML5! wow! what, flash did that 10 years ago! It is very easy to create a flash animation, for example a ball bouncing in flash professional in less than am minute. Javascript is a mess when compared to AS3.html5 media player
