Re: [YouTube-API] Re: allow visitors to upload videos on multiple pgs of my site

Hi, I'm not worried about the "technically savvy" part -- I'll have someone to help, but I need to narrow down what I'll be doing (so making sure it's even possible).  When you say "moderation panel" with "approved videos" does that mean I have to manually approve every visitor-uploaded video prior to the videos showing up on my site -- so if hundreds of videos were uploaded I'd be approving all day long?  If so, should I use YouTubeData and Player APIs (just writing more code) instead?  And can you please answer question 4.  Thx.

Hello,

I don't know what your technical skill level is, but the type of
functionality you're describing is not trivial to set up.

You can implement all those things you describe by using a
combination of the YouTube Data and Player APIs. If you don't want to
write as much code and would like to leverage an existing platform,
there's the YouTube Direct open source project (http://code.google.com/
p/youtube-direct/) which provides an uploader interface and a
moderation panel, with approved videos automatically added to a
specific playlist in a master account. Still, you need to be
technically savvy in order to deploy and configure YouTube Direct as
well.
