[YouTube-API] WebVTT Files and the API

I have some WebVTT files I would like to use on some YouTube videos which I am not the owner of. I it possible, using the YouTube API, to pass in a caption file to use on my own web pages? I haven't been able to find anything on the matter, and without being able to modify the contents of YouTube's HTML5-ready iframe, I can't include vtt files alongside the video as I would a typical HTML5 video.
