[YouTube-API] Suggestion of a new feature on youtube

I have the following suggestion for a new feature of youtube:

I would like to be able to voluntarily contribute money to artists whose productions I appeciate. E.g. 1cent-10euro contribution.

The system should work in the similar way as amazon's click and buy. Alternatively the money would be deducted from some prepaid sum.

This could bring a major change in the finincing of music industry. Exchanging tracks via social platforms e.g youtube liks posted on facebook or sent by gmail as well as youtube browsing would become the major ways of promoting artists. The contributions would replace the payments normally included in contracts with music companies.

As soon as users understand that their contributions allow the artist to continue their work, which most of them already do, there would be no need to police exchange of electronic data/ piracy!!!
