[YouTube-API] Re: subscription api

I hope it's only a matter of time. I know Jeff can't comment on everything but this is certainly frustrating. I built a site to view all my subscriptions in a better format and now that I'm forced to go to youtube too see my subscriptions it feels even more painful then before. The design isn't bad but clear it'a focus is the casual user who has no subscriptions and not power users who have lots.

If the Youtube API can be this broken for this long it's sad that I will have to build the site to not depend on it to be working. I'll have to ask the user if that data I get back from youtube is correct. I was hoping that if a user unsubs from a channel I could just get the update from youtube. but now if I see a channel missing from a users subscriber list I can't assume that it's because of a user action.

In my case, they didn't seem to be related. The subscriptions I was getting returned by the API were not the same as the ones showing up in the "highlights". However, as of sometime in the last 12 hours, by subscriptions are now showing up normally again, so if you're not getting them all, it may just be a matter of time.

I wonder if the missing subscriptions I'm getting has to do with the new default "highlights" mode that is on the youtube logged in page. The default on youtube is to now filter out subscriptions you don't usually watch. I can't say I agree with this, but I could see how that might bleed over in to the api.

anyone else?

Really?  I'm getting same issue.  It seems that the problem is still continued...
I hope YouTube team fixes it as soon as possible.

It seems the problem is now fixed. I'm now getting all my subscriptions again.
