[YouTube-API] Re: Urgent - well known app with 200,000+ users suddenly can't upload via oAuth2

This has been really ugly. We've been getting hundreds of error reports and angry users just in the last 12 hours.

After some research, it looks like YouTube has started requiring a 62 character OAuth2 code, where in the past, it required a 30 character OAuth2 code.

We worked all night on this, and have been so far been unable to find any documentation of this change anywhere in the API documentation.

The change has completely disabled uploads from our application and created a really big problem for the future of our software.

The change seemed to have taken place somewhere between 2 PM and 6 PM PST yesterday, April 24th. We had no advance warning or knowledge of this change.

We are currently at work building a new version of our application.

If anyone has ANY further information about this huge surprise change to the YouTube API, please respond to this thread.

thanks
