[YouTube-API] Re: How to choose the default caption language when embedding?

I have this same problem, and a little experimentation has revealed that embedded HTML5 Youtube videos will now display by default the subtitles according to the home language associated with your YouTube account.

For example, on my multilingual site, the Spanish subtitles will now display by default on the embedded video if I change my home language on Youtube.com to 'Spanish'. This makes some sense actually, and seems like part of Google's ongoing efforts to 'synchronise' our personal web experience.

Perhaps the 'hl' parameter will be supported in the future as an 'override', so it's no harm to leave it in.
