Yes, the Python client library only natively supports v=1 of the
YouTube API. The Java client library supports v=2 of the API, though
some recently added v=2 features might not be natively supported there
either. I don't have anything public to share right now, but we do
have a long-term plan for providing up to date client libraries for
most popular languages. So the situation will get better.
Well, it's been almost a year and still no V2 support for Python. Any update?
