[YouTube-API] Multiple iFrame API Players in Full Screen

I am working with 2 iframe API palyers, in order to achieve smooth
transitions. However, things are messing up when the user clicks on
full screen button on the currently plaing video and then the next one
has to play in the other player. Since I am controlling when the
other one starts, how do I control which of the 2 is full screen ..
the first time around, the other one may not be in full screen ... so
is full screen an area in which either one plays or is the player
itself internally in full screen mode?
