After talking to the core engineering team about this, I don't think
your specific issue is going to be resolved. There was a bug from a
few months back that led to erroneous modifications being made to the
runtime for playlists when their contents were modified (this caused
an outage at the time, actually) and while the underlying bug has been
addressed, the lingering after effect is that playlists that were
modified during that time have incorrect duration values reported via
the API (the web interface uses a different source of data to
determine total duration). There are no plans to do a bulk-
modification of all the affected playlists to correct their durations
on the backend, so the workaround would be to recreate the playlist's
contents in a new list.
