I've done every variation of clearing browser cache, restarting
safari, restarting the computer, etc. No luck. I even tried
uninstalling some of the older video codecs
I did notice that i could use the iFrameAPI to connect to the embed
object even when I got the error. it appears that the video is
permanently stuck in "buffering" (as determined by the PlayerState)
with a getCurrentTime()==0. Also, the play progress bar starts to
progress as if the video was playing, but then resets after 10-15sec.
The video content itself only shows a loading spinner.
