I'm not sure what you mean specifically by CustomId.
There are two types of free-form id-like fields you could set using
the API. They're keywords (which can be set at any point and are
visible to all users) and developer tags (which can only be set when
the video is uploaded and are only visible via the API when making a
request using your developer key). Perhaps one of those two types of
fields meets your purposes?
