I'm not sure what you mean by the "newer" client library, but I think that's what I'm using. It sure would be nice to have a good introduction to what's available to be used. I've been unable to find a chart that shows what technologies work with what libraries. I'm having a hard time simply seeing the forest.
That said, it seems much better when I use the orderby parameter even though it seems to be documented that I'm using the default when I don't. The wording in the doc is very difficult to understand, so I may be reading it incorrectly.
