[YouTube-API] Is there a way to query videos in batch???

Hi,

I can get the video info by below API:
http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/videos/1k08yxu57NA

Question is that, when it comes to several videos, I will have to make
several calls like above. What I am looking for is a batch way to do
this. I checked the batch API (http://code.google.com/intl/en-us/apis/
gdata/docs/batch.html), but there is only a sample that depends on a
Client library. Is there a sample that has no dependency to this
Client library?

How can we achieve batch call within a simple HTTP call? Can anyone
help?
