[YouTube-API] Uploading hundreds of videos a day

I need to be able to upload hundreds, possibly thousands, of videos a day. This is to multiple channels on YouTube (users set up their own channel then grant us permission to use it using oAuth).

We are currently only able to process around 420 or so videos a day and are getting behind. I can't seem to find the rules on what is and is not allowed for uploads. Is the error "too_many_recent_calls" due to the channel restrictions? Or is it due to our developer key? Can I get around the issue by uploading multiple  accounts at the same time (instead of just processing them serially)? What if I upload them from different computers? Will I need multiple developer keys?

Any help is appreciated.
