YouTube API clients communicate with the server via HTTP (HTTPS for
logging in), and in general you should be able to have that API
traffic pass through an HTTP proxy server without issue—assuming the
proxy server is configured to let the traffic through. I can't think
of anything specific on our side of things that would not function
properly due to that.
I'm not sure what you mean by sample code, though. Getting your
traffic to go through your local HTTP proxy server might be a question
of configuring your operatin system's settings or environment settings
or language runtime's settings, depending on exactly what platform and
language you're developing with.
