Thanks for the replies. The problem wasn't browser specific.
After working on the videos for a while I figured out that, if a video doesn't respect the 16:9 ratio fully, the black borders might appear.
Some rounding happens because of the half pixels that the math of the dimensions presents.
We're fixing the designs to fix that.

Hello Diogo,I seem to recall someone else brought this up before. Are you seeing it with a specific browser only? And what do you mean when you say that you don't see it on the "live site"—does the exact same embed code produce a different behavior depending on which domain you're hosting the embed on?Cheers,-Jeff Posnick, YouTube API Team~ YouTube is hiring! ~ http://google.com/jobs/workyoutube ~On Tue, Mar 22, 2011 at 7:38 PM, Diogo Freire <dafreire@gmail.com> wrote:Hey Guys,
Newbie here but been using the iFrame and JS APIs for a while. Loving it. :)
I'm having an odd issue when embedding and iFrame video. There's a black border on the left size of the image.
Tried fixing ratios, different sizes and still getting it. The video on the live site doesn't show that border.
You can see it on the screen shot below - sorry, private project, can't show it publicly yet... :(
If I go and edit the margin values on the body tag inside the iFrame, I can fix it. Oddly enough, if I set the margin property to "-0.5px 0 0 0.5px", it fits nicely.
Double checked and none of our CSS is overwriting the iFrame styles.
Anyone here ever came across it? Any ideas on why this could be happening?
